Introduction of SBS Transit Service 147e

SBS Transit Service 147e will be introduced to provide a shorter travelling time for commuters going between Clementi and Clarke Quay. A Fast Forward service, it will travel on the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) and serve several MRT stations enroute - Clementi, Dover, Buona Vista, Commonwealth, Outram Park, Chinatown and Clarke Quay - when it is launched on Sunday, 28 January 2018.

Originating from the Clementi Bus Interchange, it will serve selected bus stops along the regular route of its parent service, Service 147, until it reaches Queensway, opposite the Blessed Sacrament Church. Thereafter, it will travel on an express route, to arrive at Eu Tong Sen Street at the bus stop outside Outram Park Station before terminating at the stop outside Clarke Quay Station. On its return journey, it will also travel on the AYE.

SBS Transit Service 147e will operate on weekdays at a frequency of 20 minutes during peak hours from the Clementi Interchange. During weekday off-peak hours as well as on weekends and public holidays, it is scheduled at a frequency of 30 minutes from the same interchange.
